A little of both! My earliest attempts were picture books with text, a few years before I turned fourteen. Unfortunately, my drawing skills couldn’t quite keep up with my imagination, so I abandoned that idea.

By fourteen, I was reading books and imagining different endings, sometimes thinking through the alternatives in great detail. If an ending didn’t satisfy me, I would keep rewriting it in my head. At first, it didn’t occur to me that I could write a whole story of my own. Eventually, though, I wanted to try.

Those early manuscripts had rather unfortunate endings themselves: computer crashes claimed some, and others never reached the final page. The stories disappeared, but the urge to write didn’t.

My acting was okay, but my writing was what people really praised!

That happened in Grade 10, and it encouraged me to keep writing scripts. I loved creating characters, giving them things to say and deciding what trouble they would get themselves into.

I felt like a puppet master, pulling the strings and sending my characters in different directions. I have to admit, that was exhilarating. I wasn’t thinking about publishing or building a career. I simply wanted to see what I could create next.

After secondary school, I started a book aimed at teenagers, but stopped about halfway through. Eventually, I stepped away from writing altogether.

Back then, publishing wasn’t part of the plan. I might show a story to friends or family, or keep it entirely to myself. Having someone read it would have been lovely, but creating it was already something I enjoyed.

Years later, I found myself in a rut. Writing came back to mind, and this time I took the possibility seriously. I thought, “Why not give this a real chance? Why not make it my career?”

So I quit my job and pursued the dream I had put aside. It was a big decision, but I haven’t regretted it. Something I once did just for myself had become something I wanted to share with readers.

A different kind of fear! Sinister Spells explores supernatural horror, while Limitless Obsession is a psychological thriller with psychological slasher elements centred on appearance, attraction, insecurity and revenge.

In Limitless Obsession, wanting someone’s attention can become tangled up with how a person sees themselves. I want readers to question the characters’ motives—and perhaps recognise something uncomfortable in feelings that initially seem familiar.

They’re individual stories, so readers can start with whichever interests them. There’s no required reading order.

Where admiration ends and obsession begins. Wanting to feel attractive or wanted is something many people can understand. But how much power do you give another person when their attention starts deciding your worth?

The story explores what can happen when those feelings begin to shape someone’s choices. I want readers to keep asking themselves what they would do—and whether they would recognise when they had gone too far.

They belong to my wider collection of individual stories, under banners such as Lilmohorror, Lilmothriller and Lilmoslasher. The banner depends on the nature of each book, and I may introduce others as the collection grows.

A sequel to Sinister Spells is definitely coming. I’ve already started it, although it’s currently on hold while I focus on another title. I also plan to revisit my other books, including Limitless Obsession. Their open endings give me room to explore what happens next.

I’ve completed seven books so far. Sinister Spells and Limitless Obsession have reached readers, the third is currently being edited, and the remaining four are waiting for their turn.

Finishing a manuscript is exciting, but there’s still work to do before publication. Editing takes time—even when I’m impatient to introduce readers to the next story!

I’m currently working on my twelfth book. Books eight, nine, ten and eleven are on hold for now, but I move between them as ideas come to me.

And yes, they do interrupt! I can be working on one manuscript when an idea for another suddenly arrives. Sometimes I follow it while it’s fresh, then return to the story I was working on. That probably explains why I have several unfinished books asking for my attention.

No way! I’ve already tried stepping away, and here I am, working on book twelve.

There are still too many characters I want to meet, stories I want to tell and endings I want to decide. You haven’t seen the last of this face—or the books with my name on them!
